What Is Energy Medicine?
I help people bring their body, mind, and spirit back into balance by working with their natural energy system. You can think of your energy as a kind of “life current” that flows through and around you—like electricity running through a house or water running through pipes. When that current is flowing smoothly, you usually feel more calm, clear, and well. But when stress, trauma, or daily life blocks or scrambles that flow, it can show up as tension, anxiety, fatigue, or even physical discomfort.
In a session, I use gentle hand placements (either on or just above the body) to help guide and re-balance your energy. It feels deeply relaxing—many people describe it like a warm, soothing wave, or like they’re finally able to take a big exhale. Sometimes people feel tingling, heat, or a sense of lightness; sometimes they just feel very peaceful.
The “how it works” part is subtle: Reiki and energy medicine don’t force or push anything. Instead, they support your body’s own natural ability to heal and restore itself. It’s a bit like giving your system a reset button—helping it let go of what it doesn’t need, so it can flow the way it’s meant to.
In simple terms: I help clear out the static in your energy field so you can feel more like yourself—balanced, grounded, and connected.
Over the years, researchers have actually studied Reiki in hospitals and clinics. What they’ve found is that Reiki is especially good at helping people feel calmer, less anxious, and more balanced. Some studies even show improvements in sleep, mood, and overall quality of life.
When it comes to big medical conditions, like chronic pain or diabetes, the research is a bit mixed—sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn’t show much difference. What we do know for sure is that Reiki is safe, deeply relaxing, and can be a wonderful complement to other treatments you’re already doing.
In simple terms: science shows Reiki is very reliable for stress relief and emotional well-being, and it may also support your body in other ways—but I always recommend using it alongside regular healthcare, not instead of it.
